Personal Information Our Company Collects, How We Collect It and How We Use It
Introduction: Our Company collects information in many ways from our club managers who create an HRM FIT CLUB to the subscribers on our platform who use our mobile app to record their workouts.
Club Registration: On hrmfitclub.com, users asking to create their own club locations on the site may be asked to provide contact information, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and credit/debit card information. We will also collect information about your location and the type of fitness challenges you are planning to sponsor to your members.
Member/User information: A member on our platform desires to use our mobile application to record and track their fitness workouts using a Bluetooth enabled heart rate monitor. To correctly calculate the calories burned for each workout, we need to collect additional information including current body weight, date of birth, gender, and height. We also collect email addresses and phone numbers of our members on this platform.
The storing of workout information
For each workout we will also store the workout history so the member can refer to past results to measure their physical fitness over time. We share members workout information with club owners and publish the members information on club leaderboards. If you don’t wish for your workouts to be shared, you should not use our platform. The entire purpose of HRM FIT CLUB is to enable a group of people to create a club to compete based on their workout frequency and intensity. This is a sharing community where data is being shared. In most cases the users name (real or otherwise) may be shared. There should be no expectation of privacy.
Credit Card and Payment Information
Currently, the mobile application is free to use and will not require any credit card to use. If, in the future we do offer advance features that members find appealing, they will be purchased using in-app purchase process offered by the phone provider. The Company has no plans to request or store members credit card information.
Club Managers/Sponsors will use a credit card processor to pay the monthly subscription of the service once the product completes its public beta. No credit card is required to participate in the public beta. When/if the company begins charging a subscription it will use a 3rd party payment system provided by Stripe (https://stripe.com). Our company will not be handling or storing credit card information.
What is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer, SSL, is the security technology for encrypting a link between a web server and a browser. All data passed between our web server and your browser remains private and secure.
Whenever you communicate with us on our payment pages, a small yellow padlock appears in the bottom right-hand corner of your browser as a sign that we are now engaging SSL. (Another sign on some browsers is that when you enter the secure area of the site, the background of the address bar turns dark yellow or bright green. You’ll also notice that http:// is replaced by https:// (The ‘s’ stands for ‘Secure’).
“Our Website uses SSL”
To generate an encrypted SSL transmission, a web server requires an SSL Certificate. Checking a website’s certificate is good practice that helps you avoid spoof websites, sometimes called “phishing” sites. To check the certificate, click on the padlock. Your browser will show you the name of the owner of the certificate. This name should match the name of the website operator.
Seeing a site with a High Assurance SSL Certificate confirms two essential factors:
- That you have a secure SSL (encrypted) link with this website
- That this website represents a real organization
To find out more about SSL, please google Instant SSL
